Lightweight and easy to install, tin ceiling tiles add a décor of history and elegance to any room.

Manufactured from several different types of metal, including tin, steel, copper, and brass, ceiling return you to the era of the middle nineteenth century. During this time, large sheets of tin were easy to manufacture and ship.

Received in large rolls, the tin was then laid out and stamped in a variety of designs. These sheets of metal would then be cut and used as a ceiling for many residential and commercial buildings.

Returning to those historic days, many designers are beginning to install tin ceiling tiles either using the classic nail or screw in method as well as the drop in method.

These metal plates come in two standard sizes: 2’ x 2’ and the more standard ceiling tile size, 2’ x 4’. The larger of the two sizes is commonly used in many commercial buildings, and is a definite favorite when it comes to drop-in ceiling installation.

Although tin tiles were originally meant to be used as a ceiling, a design trend is to place the metal tiles on walls and kitchen islands.

Many decorators believe this to be the perfect look when someone wishes to add flare or make a statement of historical nobility.

Tin ceiling tiles are designed in many different fashions. Whether you are looking to refinish your pre-existing ceiling tiles or redesign your kitchen with copper ceiling plates, there is a pattern to match your personality.

With over thirty different plate patterns to choose from, you are sure to find a tin ceiling tile that fits your project.
