Metal ceiling panels
differ from ceiling tiles in that they do not have a stamped
pattern on them that appears to be a succession of 12 inch
square tiles. Both metal ceiling tiles and metal ceiling panels
come in the same size: two feet by four feet. The difference
is that the panels have one consistent “filler” pattern
to them. It might be repeating diamond shapes with beaded corners;
it might be simply a textured surface; it might be a textured
surface of bumps or beads with a patterned border.
Metal ceiling panels are designed to provide “filler” around
your tin ceiling. Their patterns are simple and textured
so that they will blend with the tin ceiling tiles and their
border provides a completing edge to your ceiling. The panels
also work well in accenting kitchen backsplashes or as wall
paneling segments.
